Scrap isn't waste. It's the cheapest tonne of climate work a mine site will ever do.

On recovery

The carbide bit you stop sending to landfill carries embedded energy that already paid its emissions price. Re-using that tonne is structurally cheaper, cleaner and faster than mining a new one. Recovery isn’t a feel-good adjacency to your ESG report. It is the ESG report.

On provenance

We don’t traffic in offshore scrap, conflict minerals, or paper traceability. Every kilogram came from a site we drove to, on a truck we know, into a yard we run. The chain of custody starts at your gate and ends at a smelter we can name.

On honesty

We won’t quote a recovery figure we can’t weigh, an emissions saving we can’t source, or a destination we can’t put in writing. If we can’t prove it, we don’t claim it. That makes for shorter brochures and longer client relationships.

  • Yes, and you should. Recovered tonnage that displaces primary production is a category 1 input under GRI 306 and a recognised Scope 3 reduction lever under the GHG Protocol. We hand you the weighbridge tickets, the assay records and the destination smelter name. Your reporting team plugs those numbers straight into the disclosure.

  • Because we name the receiving plant on every dispatch note. Our material flows to certified Australian smelters and re-rollers, not to a containerised broker chain. If a load ever does go international, you’ll see the destination on the PDF before you sign anything.

  • Simple. We only accept scrap from Australian end-of-life operations. No imported feedstock, no anonymous broker tonnage. That eliminates the upstream labour risk that imported scrap streams carry, and it keeps your due-diligence statement honest.

  • A traceability PDF per load: collection address, weighbridge ticket, assay record, downstream destination, dispatch consignment. We keep the originals on file for seven years, so if your auditor asks for source documents, we can hand them over the same day.
