Nickel Alloy
recycling.
Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy and the rest of the high-nickel family. Assayed for nickel, chromium and moly content, priced against the alloy – not against the skip it arrived in.
Why alloy identification matters
Inconel in a stainless skip
is money left behind.
High-nickel alloys are routinely thrown into the stainless bin because they look the part. Inconel 625, Monel 400 and Hastelloy C-276 each carry a nickel content that puts them in a different price bracket entirely. We XRF every piece that could plausibly be high-nickel, break the load into alloy families, and quote each on its own analysis.
What we accept
Nickel alloys we buy, and what we send back.
We buy
Inconel 600, 625 and 718 sections and fasteners.
Monel 400 and K-500 pipe, valve bodies and shafting.
Hastelloy C-22 and C-276 process equipment.
Nickel 200 and 201 tanks and liners.
High-nickel turnings and swarf, drummed.
Unidentified high-nickel suspects - we will assay them free.
We don't take
Plated or clad carbon steel sold as nickel alloy.
Process equipment that has not been decontaminated.
Sealed pressure vessels not gas-freed and certified.
Loads carrying catalyst residues or process chemicals.
The process
Four steps. One yard.
- 01 / Step Materials Received Photos and tonnage in, indicative rate back in four hours. We will tell you upfront which pieces look high-nickel.
- 02 / Step Alloy Assay Niton XRF on every candidate. Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy split into families with the analysis recorded per lot.
- 03 / Step Weigh & Log Each alloy family weighed as its own line on a 60-tonne NMI-certified weighbridge, photographed and ticketed.
- 04 / Step Payment Sent EFT within 48 hours of you signing the assay, with the full alloy breakdown attached.
